Arianna Huffington
Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington is a Greek American author syndicated columnist and businesswoman. She's the co-founder and chief executive officer of Thrive Global, as well as the author of fifteen books. Arianna Huffington has been an actor, journalist as well as a philanthropist, author and journalist for more than ten years. Her role also includes being the owner of The Huffington Post, an free-of-cost online news magazine. Originating from Greece, Arianna Huffington moved to England with her family when she was the age of 16. In Cambridge University she earned a MA qualification in Economics. When she was 21, she became the president of the renowned debating society The Cambridge Union' and was the first foreign born student who was elected to this position. Being a conservative syndicated blog, after graduating she became an influential voice for the Huffington Post. Arianna was famous in 2003, when she ran as an independent in California recall election to succeed Governor Davis. In addition, she also spearheaded the Detroit initiative to promote fuel-efficient cars. In 2009, she was ranked by Forbes as one of the top women in media gaining 12th place on the list and in the same year Guardian named her to the top 100 of media lists. AOL Inc. bought The Huffington Post, and she became president of this media group. The acquisition included a number of AOL properties of the time like Engadget AOL style list and Patch Media. Elli is the child of Konstantinos the management and journalism consultant. Though she was close with her father, it was her bond with her mother that formed her character. At an early age, she demonstrated leadership skills that are still highly regarded. At the age of 16 her family moved into her home in United Kingdom for her higher education. At Girton College Cambridge. She joined Cambridge Union, the Cambridge Union college debate society while in college in which she became the first woman to hold the position of president. She graduated in 1972 with an MA in Economics. After graduation, she began working as a critic for a newspaper column and an anchor on TV. She was a guest on Bernard Levin on an edition Face the music, and she began writing her own books with his aid.
