Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington (Greek American) is a Greek American writer, syndicated-columnist as well as a businesswoman. She is the co-founder and director of Thrive Global, as well as the writer of fifteen books. Arianna Huffington is an independent liberal news website has a TV personality, author, and charity donor. Born in Greece she came to England when she was just 16 and was able to graduate at the age of 16 from Cambridge University with an MA in Economics. She was elected president at the age of 21 of the famous debating club The Cambridge Union' and was the first foreign student to hold this title. The years that followed the graduation ceremony, she was an influential conservative syndicated journalist. Then, a couple of years later, she founded The Huffington Post which featured critical commentary on the current political landscape. The fame of her name helped in bringing on a host of well-known contributors to post their views about news from the world of politics and culture. Arianna was famous after she was elected independently in a recall election in California for the seat of then-Governor Davis. Additionally, she was a leader of an Detroit initiative to make cars more fuel efficient. Her rank was 12th on Forbes' list of most influential media women. In the same year, Guardian listed her among the top 100 media personalities. AOL Inc. bought The Huffington Post, and she was named president of the media company. It included a variety of AOL products at the time like Engadget AOL style list and Patch Media. Her parents were Elli as well as Konstantinos Stasinopoulos who was a management advisor and journalist. They were very close to her father. But it is her bond with her mother which shaped her. She was a leader from the beginning. After the 16th year of her life she started her studies within England in the United Kingdom at Girton College Cambridge. She joined in the Cambridge Union college debate society during her time at college as she was the first woman who was elected president. In 1972, she graduated with the degree of Master's in Economics. She worked as a critic television host, and a columnist after her graduation. In addition, she appeared together with Bernard Levin in an episode of Face the music and started creating books with his editorial assistance.
