Winona-Ryder

Winona Laura Horowitz, professionally referred to by the name Winona Ryder was born in Winona Minnesota. Her parents named their daughter after her hometown. Her father Michel Horowitz and her mother Cynthia Palmer were authors and editors. Ryder's dad was born into a Jewish family. Ryder considers her self Jewish. She has two younger half-siblings, Jubal and Sunyata. Ryder's family relocated to Mendocino County in California when she was 7 years old. They lived in a place without electricity. Ryder, who loved reading at the age of 12, became a bookworm due to the fact that Ryder was not able to access television. At the age of 12 Ryder was accepted into the American Conservatory Theatre to take acting classes. Lucas was let go in 1986, and Ryder who was just 15 years old, was offered a role as a leading actor. Ryder was bullied at high school. Her professional acting, she believed to help, could have helped her. Unfortunately, it didn't happen. However, she was determined to pursue her goals. Beetlejuice which was a 1988 Tim Burton film, was her debut big breakthrough. Ryder was a star in numerous films. In 1993, she received an Oscar Prize for The Age of Innocence.
